What a great day! I got a buttload of things to tell you about so perk up those ears, eyes in this case, assuming your reading this, and listen up.
We finally got to Miami, my mom’s blog yesterday probably told ya that. I didn’t read it so I’m gonna ignore what she said and tell ya myself. We mainly lazed around the pool (yes, for all u swim people, I did my work out that Joe graciously bestowed upon me-well, part of it, then some kids came and being the nice, considerate person I am I quit ‘cause I didn’t wanna splash ‘em) and then ate dinner and went to the River walk for about fifteen minutes till all of us got tired and went back to the hotel.
Ok, now for today, we woke up honking early today to join my dad for breakfast (remember, he has to work while we play), and then played in the pool till about 11:45. We borrowed the rental car from my dad, who picked us up on his lunch break to give us the car, and headed to Gumbo Limbo Nature Park. Don’tcha love saying Gumbo Limbo? It’s so fun, gumbo-limbo, gumbo-limbo, gumbo-limbo. Ok, back to subject. Anyhoo, never trust two blonde’s to find a Nature Park they have never been to, or anyplace they have never been to for that matter. Of course, my mom and I got lost, but this time IT WASN’T OUR FAULT! The recent hurricanes have blown down all the street signs so how in the heck do you expect us to find this place when we don’t even know what the dang street name is? Huh? Yea, that’s what I thought.
Gumbo Limbo was really neat. We saw sharks (I thought of you swim people), puffer fish, barracudas (again of you swim people), some mahusive sea turtles, some tiny sea turtles, some sea urchins (I touched one of those guys, there awesome), conch, eels, crabs, shrimp, rays, sea rays (no rays and sea rays are totally different organisms, I couldn’t tell the difference but that’s what the workers said) and a lobster that was about half as big as my leg! No, I’m not exaggerating, as I tend to do! But I totally thought of Joe (swim coach) when I saw it (he loves lobsta’). Luckily, because we were late, we got to see all these creatures fed. And the best thing was, that the tanks weren’t behind glass. It was mainly just a shallow pool filled with salt water and animals, so I was literally inches away from a shark. It was awesome.
All these sea animals were making me hungry and so as soon as my padre got off work we headed down to Lorelei. Lorelei is my favorite restaurant in the whole world, most of my family members agree. We haven’t been there in two years. Just imagine, a seaside restaurant where there’s a beautiful sunset, stray cats roaming around, live music, great food, and you can bring your dog! Lorelei is located on Key Islamorado. We are residing in Ft. Lauderdale, so the drive was two hours down, but it was worth it. The only drawback was that we dragged Muffin all the way down to the restaurant and then found out that they didn’t’ allow dogs anymore! Apparently, one of the dogs decided to chase one of the cats and kill it. So, they banned the dogs. Thanks for telling us that! Who cares about the cat’s (gotcha that time becky!)? I want my puppy!
Anyway, we ordered a bunch of seafood to all share, including conch fritters (mmm), crab, chicken wings, quesadillas, cheese sticks, shrimp, and lots of other seafood that I forget. Imagine that! Then, to wash down all that food, we finished it of with key lime pie. Loooovvveee itttt!
Now were driving back to the hotel after a very long day. Tomorrow we plan to go to the beach. We were going to go to the Everglades but we aren’t going to this trip. Kinda disappointing ‘cause I really wanted to see some gators!

Hey Morgan,
You know, I think it's funnier reading what you're saying than actually hearing what you're saying. Imagine that! Anyhoo, that place, Lorelei, sounds alot like a restaurant that we used to go to in Myrtle Beach called the Sea Captains House. It was also on the beach, but without the cats and dogs. I can't believe that Joe actually gave you a workout. When I went to Chicago I would have been like 'no way Joe', but I wasn't going to be gone for five weeks. It wasn't like I could have done a workout anyway because the length of the pool at the hotel was the width of the pool at the YMCA. Seriously, all I could do was shooters the whole time! Since Joe gave you the workout it's great that you're doing it because then you'll be in shape for summer swim. I think it's really great of you to stop your practice when those kids came. They wouldn't want to get wet being in the pool and all. Well I'll stop talking about swimming and let you get back to your vacation. I have to get back to the school work that I'm supposed to be doing. I'm going over to Becky's today for Chemistry experiments. I think I'll mention the part about the cats to her, just to see what she says!
Love ya and miss ya!
