Monday, 9:48 pacific/ 12:49 p.m./a.m.
We are now in California! I have no idea why they call it the Sunshine state; all I see in the sky is the moon and black darkness. No sun, no light, no nothing.
This morning we woke up in Arizona and headed Saguaro ( pronounced Sa-wah-ro) National Park, which is home to many saguaro cactus’ (you know, the ones with the arms on ‘em), some witch reach the towering height of 50 feet. Of course, no matter how many times you tell a person, especially a member of the Ellis family, not to touch the cactus’ somebody always does. Tatum, obviously not paying attention, ran into a poor cactus in the first five minutes of the hike. We took two short hiking trails, one, which over looked the valley below, and the other, which took us to some ancient Indian Petroglyphs. We hiked there for a couple hours and then hopped back into the RV for a long drive to California.
Nothing else much to say here ‘cept I sent a bunch of postcards today so if you get one anytime soon let me know ‘cause I sent one to Rachie Vogt early last week and she hasn’t gotten her’s yet. Oh and by the way, everybody belt out the Happy Birthday song for Mrs. Ewing. I won’t give away the age but it includes the OVER THE HILL saying. I’m sure you’ve guessed it. So, sing a song for her, out loud or in your noggin, though you might get a few puzzled stares from family members for singing Happy Birthday out of the blue. Unless you do it often, yea you know who you are * cough, cough, Becky*. So wish her another happy trip around the sun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS. EWING!!

Morgan, KEEP YAPPING!!!! We all love reading your blogs, they are really funny. I am not at all surprised by your snow cone choice. Are you still fascinated with drawing those?? Have you been knitting? Don't worry if you haven't, because we need to hear all about California now. Anyways swimming began today and I know Thursday is going to be tiring, I'm already sore. Todays practice was almost entirely on our backs. Not fun when its breaststroke kick with one leg. I think you should try THAT on a sanddune. We did get a post card, I didn't know you could fill a post card up with so much writting. Poor Tatum, that must have hurt. I hope Darby's having fun with the knitting. What has Katty been up too?
Wishing three weeks went by faster
Becky
Morgan,
When did we start calling Rachel Rachie, and Becky sings Happy Birthday out of the blue? I must have missed the memo. We did a 400 IM kick on our backs. It was so much fun. (Thank for reminding me Becky. I just read your comment.) The breastroke kick alternating legs on your back was so hard! Joe says we're going to learn how to do it tho so that means that we're going to do it a lot more!

Veronica
Hey-
Okay, i get the 'rachie thing but since when does Becky sing Happy Birthday?
Ja, i agree with Veronica Becky!! 400 IM on your back is FUN!!!! Except the rotating breastroke thing.
Swimming was Painful!!! I am not sore though-thank goodness! I knew it would be a bad day the moment coach walked in. The ifrst thing he said to me was " guess what the 400 IM winning time at nationals was" i was like...uhh... "4:01" -gasp- He forgot to mention that that was for the 17&18 yearold boys...!!!
Now i havta figure out how to post this.
rachIE
I still don't get the Rachie thing. Will somebody please explain it to me!? Maybe tomorrow at swimming. Isn't it funny that not only do we use this blog to talk to Morgan, but with each other too. I think it's hysterical!

Ok, it's me, you know, the one your SUPPOSED to be commenting to. Yea, so Rachel has told me many a time that she HATES being called Rachie. So, I thought I'd annoy her by calling her that in the blog. Simple enough right? And about the Becky singing thing, Becky seems the most unlikely of any of us to sing Happy birthday out of the blue, let alone sing at all, so i made a joke. Got it?
Morgan
Morgan,
To make a joke I think the peolple have to get it.
Love you!
