Thankfully, no breakdowns today, but we were a day off course. But have you ever known the Ellis family to ever be on schedule? Didn’t think so.
The Houston space center was really fun. We went to the museum where there were movies, real pieces of equipment, and hands on sections where you could race robots and build them. We learned that there are only certain months set aside for rocket launches, that NASA plans to send people to Mars by 2030, that I only weigh 50 lbs on Neptune, that the astronauts literally live on disgusting looking smooshed plastic wrapped food, and that it is very hard to land a spacecraft! They had a section with computers that you could TRY to land spacecrafts, build rockets, and plan Mars missions. It’s much harder than it sounds.
We just got to the campground and found out that they don’t allow fires! We have no idea how to use the stove, even though we’ve owned the RV for over three years. So, if you don’t hear from us again it probably means that the stove blew up and we’re all dead. Or, it could mean that we don’t have Internet access and can’t post these enthralling blogs.
