Birthday time!!!

Salut!!!

Hey, guess what today is!! Yep, I turn 15! Yea for me!

It’s really weird having your birthday in an RV. I was woken up with the traditional breakfast in bed, which consisted of a donut, two mini muffins, a waffle from the hotel my grandma stayed in last night, and string cheese. Guess who put the string cheese in? Yea, Katty. Anyway, I ate and opened presents and then we headed to the Harry Houdini museum. Unfortunatley, it was closed. So, we went with plan B, the Steam Locomotive National park.
The National park was devoted solely to restoring steam locomotives. They had a huge museum, about how the train works, who works on the train, the history of the locomotives, and everything you can imagine about locomotives. It was huge. We actually got to go on a restored steam engine train too. It was really cool. My dad could of stayed there for a couple more days, he was fascinated. What is it with guys and trains? But WE were all ready to go and the majority rules. It was really awesome though.
While we were at the museum we heard about this coal mine about 10 minutes away. The mine itself was closed but they took you on tours 300 feet into the mine and showed you around. We arrived and geuss what. Bingo, it was closed. The park ranger and SLNP told us the wrong time. We were really disappointed but what I saw next made my day. In the park where the mine was they had this GORGEOUS waterfall! Yea, there was this beautiful red bridge with a little creek with tons of little waterfalls passing under it. The leaves where changing and it looked absoulutely perfect. I took like 20 pictures. It was beautiful.
We found a hotel in Scranton for my grandma and hung out around the pool for a couple hours and ordered pizza. Then we headed to her room and bought a movie off the TV – Superman Returns. It was really really good. But don’t watch it until you’ve seen the first two original.
My parents also surprised me with a delicious b-day cake. It was 100% chocolate. They bought it earlier when they went to find fresh water for the RV. It had chocolate icing, syrup, candies on top, chocolate chips, chocolate everything! It was magnificent.

See ya’ll Tuesday,
Morgan
